What people ask before they begin
Hypnosis is unfamiliar to most people, and it is sensible to have questions. Here are plain answers to the ones I hear most often.
About hypnosis
What does the hypnotic part feel like?
Most people describe it as deeply relaxed but fully aware, similar to the moment just before sleep or being absorbed in a good book. You sit or recline comfortably with your eyes closed, and you hear everything. We talk throughout, and you answer in your own words.
Will I lose control or say something I do not want to?
No. You stay aware and in control the whole time. You can speak, pause or open your eyes whenever you choose, and nothing you do not want to share needs to be shared.
What if I cannot be hypnotised?
Hypnosis is not something done to you. It is a focused state you allow yourself to enter, and most people reach it comfortably with guidance. You do not need to “go under” or lose awareness for the work to be effective.
Will I have to relive painful memories?
The aim is understanding, not reliving. You look at earlier experiences from the position of the adult you are now, with me guiding you throughout. Some emotion can surface, and that is part of the work, but you are never left alone in it.
Is hypnosis compatible with my faith?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention. It involves no ritual and no belief system. Many clients of faith find it sits comfortably with their beliefs. If you have a concern, bring it to the orientation and we will talk it through.
Will I remember the session?
Yes. Most people remember the session clearly, and we talk it through together before you leave. Your personalised recording then carries the work forward each day.
About working together
How is this different from talk therapy or counselling?
Talk therapy works mainly with conscious understanding, usually over many weekly sessions. This work uses hypnosis to reach the meaning beneath a pattern, inside a structured engagement with an intensive at its centre. Neither suits everyone, and at the orientation we look honestly at what fits you.
Does it work online?
Yes. Online engagements follow the same structure, with the same calls and the same personalised recording. All you need is a quiet, private room, a stable connection and headphones.
What if one intensive is not enough?
Some patterns shift decisively after one intensive; others need more layers of work. Your closing review shows where you are. If more work is needed, we discuss whether the 90-day Journey is the right next step.
Why are fees not listed on the website?
Because the right engagement depends on what you bring, and a number without that context is not useful. You hear the full fee and exactly what it includes before the orientation ends, with no pressure to decide on the day.
Does this replace medical or psychiatric care?
No. This work can sit alongside medical care but does not replace it. If you are under a doctor’s care or taking medication, continue as your doctor advises, and tell me at the orientation.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share is held in strict confidence, within the standard professional limits I explain at the start of our work. You can read more on the privacy page.
Ask it at your orientation.
The orientation exists to give you a clear picture before you commit to anything. Complimentary, 30 minutes to an hour, in person in Lahore or online.
